Community Tree
Our Commitment
APG is an active community development agent that supports partnership projects within the community.
We ensure all our community partnerships are effective and sustainable and all dealings with the communities are respectful and inclusive.
APG has a range of community partnership activities that assist with a variety of community needs. Both our directors and staff are heavily involved in many sporting clubs across the country from coaching to committee member positions. The children are our future employees and leaders so getting involved teaching discipline, improving skills and playing to your best but fairly arethings that will assist them in the future.
At APG teamwork is everything and this style of work ethic is encouraged to be extended into the community with our staff supporting sporting and fundraising committees raising awareness but also showing that they, in their own time, give back to the local people who support us in the workplace.
Charity Support and Donations
The Community Tree by APG was created to support Children's Charities in particular, who are so important in shaping the future of the world.
The health and wellbeing of our children is an area close to our hearts with so many families working through APG in the office, on farms, manufacturing plants, construction sites, transport and storage sites, the list goes on.
So, anything we can do to support Children's Charities or charities that support both regional and metro areas in a positive way, The APG Community Tree will be on the lookout for.
Jackson’s Brave Journey
6 year old Jackson is one of 3 siblings and together with his family, they called RMHC GWS home for 265 nights during 2019.
The family’s ordeal began when Jackson was only 5, after he was taken to the hospital with what was thought to be a chest infection, sadly though tests revealed something far worse. Jackson was found to have a tumor that had taken over 2/3 of his chest cavity and spread to his kidneys. After multiple tests it was revealed that Jackson was also battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
From the Central Coast NSW, Jackson and his family’s journey has been a long and difficult one, but like so many families staying at a Ronald McDonald House, they’ve held various fundraisers since to bring awareness on how valuable Ronald McDonald House is in their community and to pay it forward as a gesture of how much RMHC’s support has meant to them.
“The support we received from the House really made our life a lot easier, while we battled this terrible time with Jackson. He was so much happier receiving treatment at the hospital in the day and staying together with us as a family at the House during the nights. We will never forget the volunteers and staff who helped us through”.
- Dallas (Jackson’s Dad)
We could not provide this support to our families if it was not for the invaluable, ongoing support from everyone at APG Workforce.
From your support of RMHC events across the country, Workplace Giving and internal fundraising, you have provided over 823 nights worth of accommodation for seriously ill children and their families. We cannot thank you enough!
Amy Holton National Corporate Partnership Executive
"Just finished putting away the HUGE delivery from APG Workforce - thank you so much again for this beautiful donation of ready-made meals, they will go a long way to help our families have a much-needed night off and single parents not having to stress about dinner when coming in late from the hospital"
Georgia Barker, Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney, Westmead
"APG Workforce is truly a valued partner of RMHC giving amazing support and making a true impact on sick kids and their families right across Australia. Sponsorship
The Community Tree by APG is a strong supporter of sport in all age groups, which we believe is a great way to stay fit and healthy whilst working in a team environment helping each other. It is so important to exercise and stay involved in some sort of activity that keeps the body and mind fresh.
We enjoy the chance to make a difference in helping local sporting teams and clubs through purchase of team apparel or sporting equipment.
Additionally, it may be an individual pursuit that you are after or something completely different, like a car rally visiting towns, raising money for community projects. The Community Tree by APG will be there to support you.
